Many students look forward to prom for years, but the cost of formal wear can make attending feel out of reach for some families.
The Prom Clothes Closet helps remove that barrier by allowing students to choose a prom outfit at no cost, giving them the opportunity to experience one of high school’s most memorable nights.
The Opal Prom Project adds to that moment by offering optional Opal Prom Beauty Pouches filled with popular beauty favorites and fresh fragrance mists that teens love but may not always be able to afford.
Each pouch is thoughtfully curated to help make the experience of getting ready for prom feel even more exciting and special.

Transparency Note
The Opal Initiative is currently in the process of becoming a formally recognized nonprofit organization. While that work is underway, we did not want to miss the opportunity to support local students through the Opal Prom Project. Donations from this campaign will go directly toward purchasing and assembling Opal Prom Beauty Pouches for students attending the Leander ISD Prom Clothes Closet on March 28.
We provide Opal Beauty Kits, curated makeup and beauty essentials, to individuals who have experienced sudden loss or displacement. This includes women leaving domestic abuse situations and people impacted by fires, floods, or other emergencies.
During moments of crisis, personal items are often left behind or lost entirely. Opal Beauty Kits are offered as an option through trusted partner organizations, recognizing that access to beauty and personal care can offer comfort and familiarity when life changes unexpectedly.
We believe beauty is personal and optional, and that everyone deserves to feel beautiful.
